Just Wednesday

Every week Wednesday manages to sneak up on me like a bad case of... before I can turn around good and realize what day it is. This Wednesday is no exception. I have been so covered up with stuff to do this week that today is the first day I've had to actually sit down and have a little computer time that has lasted longer than about five minutes. Good thing too because I was starting to feel the DT's setting in.

One major event going on is that A2 is graduating preschool. I'm not sure yet if they are going to do anything special for them or not but it is breaking my heart. Am I overreacting or what??!! He went today and goes again on Monday for his last day.

Anyway, I was sitting here at the computer and browsing through some of his pictures I had on here when the notion hit me that I should try to put together a little video. Woohoo new project to learn and I didn't even have to go to YouTube for directions. (Case you didn't know, I taught myself how to knit right off of YouTube!)

Keep in mind I have NEVER done this before so it may seem is a little rough around the edges, but click on the video I've posted to share in my misery joy that is watching my little guy grow up way too fast right before my eyes. It never gets easier because I've already been through this with A1 and can't even imagine the mess I'm going to be when that one starts high school this fall and then graduates four short years later.

By the way, if you listen closely you can hear me sobbing in the background.

Ok, not really but you should probably try to picture it because I really am.

As far as the list goes, I'm planning on getting back to it either this afternoon or all day tomorrow. I've still got several of you to visit and some of you to revisit because I just love your writing style!

Happy Wednesday guys!

They grow up way to freakin' fast. I wish we could pause life like we can a YouTube video.

Thanks for stopping by! It's always nice to get new visitors and I think the DGM project was absolutely awesome. Despite what my Fiance says, there's no such thing as too many good blogs to read!

I'm totally in tears here! My babies - the ones I heard downstairs tonight talking about how in four years the oldest will be old enough to drive!!!!! - are asleep upstairs and I'm this tempted to go up there and hover over them and watch them sleep because it seems like it's the only time they're still enough for me to get a good look at them. And their faces that look less like that of a little boy with every passing week.

But first I need a tissue so I can clean up and see them better!

Aw, they do grow up fast. Good thing we have these magical video cameras to capture them at their sweetest.

Oh, and thanks for popping by my blog on your mad dash to visit all the DGM blogs. Such a cool idea. Please pop by any time. :)

Holy mackeral! You're a mom AND you're visiting all of the blogs from the DGM post? You're my hero. Or heroine although that word has always reminded me of junkies.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I'd love to hear some of your faves from the 200plus...

Hello! Did you learn to knit watching that Chinese lady on YouTube??? I watched her to learn how to cast on since I can never remember.

I loved the video show: loved how your son hit that bad snow storm while driving. I see your son owns a "I (heart) NY" t-shirt. Are you in NY? I made sure my kids periodically wear the I*NY onesie or t-shirt just so they know where their loyalties should lie.

I'll be back!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I don't have kids, but I can see the wistful pain in my mothers eyes with each birthday or other life event my sisters and I have. I can imagine it only gets more bittersweet as time goes on, but its (hopefully) a rewarding experience.

My daughter is only 14 (ha. only. whatev, right?) and is already begging me to let her get a flippin' job this summer. She picked up a work permit at school and everything. A job. Sheesh.

Just wonderful. Off to try to make one of my own of my two lumps of boy. Thanks for stopping by the wee Scottish blog - I too am still wading around in DGM's list- I suspect my reader is going to collapse under the strain!

You are correct..there are never too many blogs to read. I now have 217 new favorites!

I learned to knit from Mrs. Moskowitz (sp?) on YouTube. She rocks!!

Heather: At least she wants a job and to not sleep the day away. My son has been bit by the sloth bug.

I'm not in NY. I've never been there before but want to go one day. My sissy gave him that shirt!

Thanks to everybody for stopping by! I've only got 14 blogs left to visit - w00t!!

Oh, that video. My insides want to burst so badly. My twins are nearly 3, about to start preschool and I'm on the verge of tears each day I think about it. Then I sip some Vodka, and all is well with the world.

Thanks for stopping by my little internet cardboard box! Fresh voices are always welcome and tremendously appreciated. Here's to some linky love!

Oh, and hello Knitty has some fantabulous videos to learn how to knit.

hi there! I have been coming to your site ever since you commented a little while back, but for some reason I get all weird about commenting on peoples blogs. Now, talk to me in person and I've got a damn opinion for everything...

Very, very cute...but how did he get into that bag of confectionary sugar anyway? :-)
(Seriously, what the heck is all that white stuff he's rolling around in???)
My daughter is about to finish first grade, I don't even know where THAT time went...
