YaY Me!

One of the joys of motherhood is that you NeVeR get to have to go to the toilet on your own.

Last night after taking A2 to potty (after about a week of relapse on his part!) I decided I needed to go real quick to which he plants his feet firmly in front of me, hands on my knees, and looks up into my eyes to exclaim, "I'z dot chew mom."

There was no danger of me falling back into the water with an embarrassing splash or *gasp* falling off the toilet all together. I had no reason to panic or be frightened! He had me.

When I finished he stepped back, puffed out his little chest, clapped his hands and cheered with a grin plastered from ear to ear, "zYaY MoM. Go Potttay! MoM rokz."

What an accomplishment for me. I had every reason to be proud of myself!

Don't know what I would have done without him there to assist!

There's nothing like your 2 year old reminding you its the little things in life that are important! I remember feeling both relief and sadness when my daughter decided in public restrooms she wanted to go in her own stall. You can always here funny things in public when moms are with their kids in the bathrooms. Kids have NO sense they are being listened to by everyone!

Were you at home??

When my step son was around 4 we were in the stall when he annouced, "That lady over there FARTED"

My daughter does the same thing! "Yay mommy! you DID it!" Clapping hands, jumping up and down, and offering to wipe me--all included!

mine are now 6 and 8 and I have had to re-learn how to get my own toilet paper! Even now they try to hang out and chat whenever I am on the can. Claps to you on your successful potty and your darling little helper.

Hmm, I guess my dogs really are my kids then, since I can't go to the bathroom without one of them wanting to go in with me! (but they don't cheer for me when I finish)

How adorable is that?! At my house, after five successful days in a row of using the potty, complete with stickers of my choice on each calendar square, I'd be ready to go pick out my prize at the dollar store!

You guys crack me up with your stories! Thank goodness I was home and I haven't YET had an embarrassing out in public bathroom experience although I was called out by the kiddos for farting in Old Navy a while back. Browse the archives, it's in there!

Eeewwww Aunnie, you tinky, say coose me Aunnie, you fahted" I was mortified!!! inside though I was smiling remember when my girls were young and did wonderful things to embarass the hell out of me!! My girls are 13 now and do other things to embarass me but they aren't so cute anymore. ;)

Haha, mine does this with me too. He also wants to have an intimate discussion about whatever I've left in the toilet.
